David Short
Born Nottingham 1940
David was encouraged to pursue his interest in art during his early school years, and later attended Nottingham School of Art.
He painted as an amateur for several years, spending a great amount of time in Devon and Cornwall studying the sea and inshore boats. During this period David worked as a Market Trader - dealing in Nottingham Lace - which enabled him to support his main interest painting.
Since achieving his ambition to become a full time artist his paintings are now sought after by discerning galleries throughout the country, and private collectors worldwide.
